Testing software

Some Humbug bloggers have recently discussed software testing and made some interesting points. I’m keen to play devil’s advocate on some of these issues and will do so, but perhaps not for another week—by then, my study’s grand re-organisation should be finished and it might be possible for me to find a few minutes to put together some sort of case.
